We found $80M of Busha history we had been missing
Busha's measured deposit history went from $57.4M to $137.3M after we recovered a previous generation of deposit addresses. The money was always there — 84,600 addresses were not being attributed to it.

Busha's measured deposit history has gone from $57.4M to $137,334,689. Its attributed deposit addresses went from roughly 23,200 to 107,846.
We did not find new activity. We found activity that was always on-chain and was not being credited to Busha.
What we had missed
A venue's deposit addresses are discovered by working outward from its infrastructure — the wallets that fund fresh addresses with gas, the wallets that sweep balances away, and the patterns that connect one to the other. That is how you find addresses nobody publishes a list of.
The method has a blind spot, and this is it. Busha had run an earlier generation of deposit infrastructure, funded and swept by a different set of wallets than the ones it uses now. Our discovery was anchored on the current generation, so it walked outward from the current wallets and found the current addresses. The previous generation sat there, complete and untouched, invisible to a search that started in the wrong place.
Six chains, 84,600 addresses, back to June 2020.
What this changes
Everything about Busha's history, and nothing about this week.
Its lifetime figure roughly doubled. Its earlier years moved the most — 2022 reads $21.2M and 2025 reads $42.8M on the recovered basis. Its current weekly volume, around $1.1M, is barely affected, because the current generation was already being measured.
So if you have cited a Busha lifetime or annual figure from us before this week, it was understated. The restated series is the one that stands.
Why we are writing this up rather than quietly shipping it
An address-discovery blind spot is not a rounding error. For as long as it was open, every Busha number we published was low by more than half, and we had no way of knowing — a discovery run that finds nothing looks exactly like a discovery run that finds everything.
That is the uncomfortable part, and it generalises. Any venue that has replaced its deposit infrastructure has the same exposure, and we now check for a previous generation as part of onboarding rather than assuming the current anchors reach everything. Two other venues had the same work done this week; where it changed their numbers, we have said so.
Attributed, not estimated. This time the attribution was incomplete, and we would rather say by how much.
Method
Busha deposit addresses are identified by mapping on-chain infrastructure — funding patterns, sweep behaviour, and the relationship between deposit addresses and the venue's own wallets — then attributed deposit-side only across six chains. The recovered addresses belong to an earlier generation of Busha's deposit infrastructure that our discovery had not reached: they were funded and swept by a different set of wallets than the current generation, so the current-generation anchors never found them. No new flow was created by this work; the same on-chain transfers are now attributed to the venue that owned them. Busha's retail figure is 92.4% of its observed volume, the remainder being deposits above the retail size band.
