Jeroid joins the index, and our X account was compromised
Jeroid is live and enters the weekly index from this issue, restating the series upward by about $725,000 a week. Separately, the AfriFlux X account was accessed without authorisation on 22 September and recovered the following morning; anything posted from it during that window should be disregarded.

Two things to record this week.
Jeroid enters the index
Jeroid — a Nigerian crypto and gift-card off-ramp — went live on the site last Monday and enters the weekly index from this issue. It is the twentieth live venue we publish.
We measure $28,886,956 across Tron, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana since November 2025, and $736,444 in the week of 21 September. Its coverage is flagged Partial: Jeroid is older than the rails we can observe, and we make no claim about the period before November 2025.
Adding it restates the series upward. The week of 14 September, published last Monday at $19,700,006, now reads $20,683,641 — of which $724,799 is Jeroid and $258,836 is ordinary attribution drift.
Our X account was compromised
On 22 September the AfriFlux account on X was accessed without authorisation. We recovered it the following morning, revoked the unauthorised access and secured the account.
Anything posted, sent or linked from the account during that window should be disregarded. If you clicked a link from us on 22 September, treat it as untrusted.
The compromise was confined to the X account. No measurement, no pipeline and no published figure was affected — the data behind this newsletter is produced on infrastructure that account has no access to, and nothing on the site was changed.
We are saying it here as well as on X because a newsletter reaches people who were not scrolling that day, and an account that goes quiet about its own incident is worth less than one that does not.
Method
Jeroid is tagged retail_only, so its full attributed deposit volume enters the index; its coverage is Partial, beginning November 2025, because the venue predates the rails we can observe. The index counts only venues published as live: venues still in mapping or terminal review, and business-only venues such as Flutterwave, are excluded. Restatement figures compare the series as published on 21 September against the same series recomputed on 28 September.
