Eleven consecutive monthly gains, then a break.
Retail volume fell to $6.4M in June, down from $7.6M in May — a month that had itself been Spenda's highest on record.
A single month down after eleven up is not a reversal, and we're not calling it one. It is worth recording because the streak itself was the story: a venue that had compounded every month for nearly a year now has a break in the series, and the next two prints decide whether June was noise or a turn.
Method
Monthly retail stablecoin volume attributed to verified Spenda addresses, compared month on month through June 2026. The streak is measured within AfriFlux coverage only — it counts consecutive monthly increases since Spenda entered our coverage, not the venue's entire trading history.
