Attributed stablecoin volume across the 19 venues in our index was $19,700,006 in the week of 14 to 20 September — up 9.9%, and the fourth-largest week we have measured.

September against August

With ten days to go, September has done $55,980,774. August's first twenty days did $51,101,066, so September is running 9.5% ahead.

August closed at $83,547,615, the record month. To match it September needs $27,566,841 from its last ten days — $2.76M a day, against the $2.80M a day it has averaged so far. On its current pace it finishes level with August, and the last week of the month decides which one holds the record.

Who moved

Nine of nineteen venues grew, against six last week.

Monica added 12.9% to $4,630,278 and finished the week ahead of Quidax, which fell 4.1% to $4,126,549. Spenda grew 2.3% to $2,839,317 and set a deposit record for the third time in six weeks.

Daya Pro rose 86.8% to $1,601,959. After falling back to $857,496 last week, every one of the last five weeks has been above its pre-August average of $447,000. Onboard rose 112.3% to $1,368,868 on total flow, and Grey Finance 3.7% to $1,575,050.

Falling: Chipper −11.1% to $928,402, Busha −4.3%, Timon −18.1%.

The top three venues were 58.9% of the week.

cNGN

cNGN transfer volume fell 33.0% to $9,455,365. On Base it fell 54.2% to $4,077,667 — while daily active addresses held at 879, the second-highest we have recorded. For the third week running, cNGN's volume on Base and its users moved in different directions.

BNB Chain carried more cNGN than Base for the first time since August: $4,507,856 against $4,077,667, on around 62 daily addresses against Base's 879. The larger chain by value is the smaller one by users by a factor of fourteen.

ZARP did $763,589, most of it on Ethereum from about 22 daily addresses, with $244,965 on a single day. Not a trend yet.

Infrastructure

Textile FX cleared $1,884,510 in African notional, its largest week, by $9,281. HyperFX settled $643,528 and Paycrest $220,564. None of it is added to market volume.

Flutterwave is now on AfriFlux as the first business-only venue. Why it sits outside the index.

Method

Attributed stablecoin deposit volume across the 19 venues in the AfriFlux index for the ISO week of 14–20 September 2026. Deposit-side only — excludes withdrawals, transfers between venue-controlled addresses, and all off-chain activity. The four venues tagged not_separable (Onboard, Grey Finance, Accrue, Raenest) report total observed flow; the other fifteen report the retail size band. Business-only venues, including Flutterwave, are excluded from the index. The week of 7 September, published at $18,339,619, now reads $17,919,326, a 2.3% downward restatement that is almost entirely a revision to Quidax ($4,741,445 to $4,304,130); August now reads $83,547,615 against $83,885,218 published. The September comparison sums daily figures for 1–20 September against 1–20 August on the same basis. Native stablecoin figures are transfer volume only and exclude mints and burns; infrastructure volume is measured separately and never added to the index.
